A complete remake of Trials of Mana saw huge sales following its launch the following year. In 2019, Collection of Mana was released, packaging together the first three games in the Mana franchise. ![]() The Mana series has made a comeback following the release of 3D remakes of Adventure of Mana and Secret of Mana, one of the most beloved games in the series. ![]() While the series doesn’t have as many games as Square Enix’s most famous franchise, Final Fantasy, Legend of Mana ranks highly as one of the best Mana games overall. Players use a “Land Make” system to generate the world by placing objects on the map. What set this entry apart was its exclusion of a fixed world that’s ready to explore. Like others in the series, it is an action role-playing game starring a silent protagonist and has a top-down perspective. Originally released for the PlayStation, Legend of Mana is the fourth game in the Mana series. RELATED: Trials of Mana Adding New Difficulty and Mode It will launch at the same time as its digital counterpart on June 24. It’s only available in Japan and is priced at 14,3000 yen. The Legend of Mana collector’s edition will be available for both the PS4 and Nintendo Switch and comes with a copy of the game, an art book, an official soundtrack, and an adorable Li’l Cactus plush. ![]() The Square Enix store has recently opened orders for a physical edition of the game that comes with plenty of extras. For most, this is strictly a digital release, but Japan is getting another option. Among the announcements that came from the February 2021 Nintendo Direct was the news that the 1999 action RPG Legend of Mana would see a remastered released on the Switch this summer. ![]()
